Interviews
Here are a couple of interviews I've found on the net. The first one is from www.freevibe.com (the link address is below it), and the second from KWBTV (the article isn't on the site anymore, so I can't provide a link, sorry.)

A Kat's Life
Most people try out many different jobs before they settle on a career. Heck, many of us are probably still trying to figure out what we want to be when we grow up. But Kat Dennings isn't like most people.
"It's the weirdest thing," said Dennings, who stars as Sarah in the WB's "Raising Dad." "I was born knowing I was going to be an actress. Somehow I knew about Marilyn Monroe. I've idolized her since I was three or four."
But when Dennings was cast as Bob Saget's oldest daughter, she was still a novice. "I didn't have any idea how the whole thing worked," Dennings said laughing. "I thought directors stood there with their hats. I've become more savvy to the insider stuff."
Saget, who is best known for playing widowed dad Danny Tanner on "Full House," helped in her transition to the small screen. He made the most difficult part of the job - filming in front of a live audience - much easier. "At first, it was very intimidating; I could not have done it if Bob wasn't here," Dennings said.
However, it did take Dennings a while to get used to the fact that she actually knew Saget. Last May, she attended the WB's Upfront Presentation in New York. "I got off the elevator at the hotel and I saw him and I was like, 'Oh my God, it's Bob Saget' and then I was like, 'Wait a minute. I know him.'"
In addition to knowing one of television's most recognizable dads personally, another "great perk" is getting to lock lips with her good-looking co-stars. "I've had more action on the show than I ever had in real life," she joked. "I got to kiss Erik von Detten [he guest starred as Brad Singer] who is godly. He's such a shy, nice, normal person. Just a sweet and humble guy."
In this Friday's season finale, Sarah will find herself facing a big decision - whether or not to have sex with her boyfriend Jared (played by Riley Smith). Dennings wouldn't reveal what happens, but she did divulge some insider information. "That episode I was so sick. My voice was gone. Poor Riley. But, thankfully, he didn't get sick."
Even though she stars in a WB show and is currently filming the Disney movie "Soul Patrol," Dennings still manages to be a typical teenager. At 16, her favorite television shows are "Dawson's Creek," "Smallville," "Felicity," and "Gilmore Girls." She loves Joshua Jackson and shopping. She is looking forward to going to college on the East Coast. And, she's enjoying the benefits of fame.
She recently got to meet Jackson at a WB event. "We were at a party. Everywhere Josh went he was mobbed, he'd walk a step and someone would want a picture or an autograph. He was so sweet and friendly. I was with people who knew I loved 'Dawson's Creek' and they tackled him for me. He was so courteous and nice."
Dennings' life has been anything but normal this past year as she has adjusted to her newfound fame. "That is the weirdest thing," Dennings said about being recognized. "I once got mobbed in a Hagen Daas. All these girls surrounded me and were asking questions like, 'Do you know 'NSync?'"
Although it can sometimes be overwhelming, Dennings loves meeting fans. "I don't want them to feel like I'm this unapproachable person. I can't let it go to my head. It's so nice to hear that people are watching show of their own free will. I appreciate every single one of them."
It's not just Dennings who has had to adjust to her sudden celebrity status. "Truthfully, this whole thing has shown me who my true friends are," she said. "My best friend, Hope, she seriously could care less that I'm on a show. The friends who really do care about me don't care about materialistic things. I still have a group of close knit friends. If I ever win an award, I'm going to list them all by first, middle, and last name."

Kenji, Summit High student and school newspaper columnist, interviews Kat Dennings about Raising Dad, writing screenplays, and her Anti-Drug.
Well Folks¦I have been given the opportunity to talk to one of the WB's newest leading ladies. This week, I caught up with Kat Dennings who stars in the family comedy "Raising Dad" opposite Bob Saget. Kat has a busy schedule these days, but she took some time out to talk to your favorite Summit High Columnist. This girl is not only a beautiful and talented actress, but she also likes to play the electric guitar. How's that for multi-talented?
In the show, Kat's Dad is constantly in her space. That's because Kat's TV Dad is a teacher at her High School. I can't even imagine how that would be¦ Look at what she revealed to Summit High in a one on one interview¦

Kenji: Hey Kat, thanks for taking some time to chat with me today.

Kat: Thanks for having me Kenji¦.

K: Can you tell us some of the things that you have been working on recently?

Kat: Sure. I'm on a sitcom on The WB call Raising Dad, which is my main priority. It doesn't leave much room for anything else, but I love it.

K: Wow, I'm sure that it does take up a lot of your time, it is great that you love it. Where do you think you will go with your acting career? What are your career goals?

Kat: I've written a few screenplays that someday I'd like to put into production and I'd also love to act in some great movies.

K: Interesting, let me know if you need any young, male stars for your screenplays? Just joking.OK, OK, I am sure your life has changed since you have become a celebrity, can you tell us just how it has changed?

Kat: Well, First of all, I don't consider myself a celebrity. A celebrity to me is someone like Marilyn Monroe or Harrison Ford. But I have been recognized a few times which was weird and cool. The only way it's really affected my life is now when I go out I try to look halfway decent, just in case.

K: Like lots of kids our age, I am sure that you have tons of friends. What would you say to a friend who was thinking about using drugs?

Kat: I would tell them that it's not worth ruining your life over. I know people who did drugs in high school and each of them told me that if they hadn't done it, their lives would be a lot better today. I know a lot of people say that kind of thing, but it's the truth. It messes up your entire system.

K: Kat, what is your Anti-Drug?

Kat: My Anti-Drug is Acting. Partially because when I'm not feeling that great, I can morph into somebody else and experience their emotions instead, which actually helps me deal a lot better with my own.

K: Cool, that's great. Thanks again for your time today. Good Luck with your new sitcom "Raising Dad".
